As mothers, it is hard enough to meet our own expectations, but then on top of that it’s so easy to fall into the trap of feeling like we need to do what everyone else says we are supposed to do as well. It is exhausting! I have come to believe that my number one job as mommy is not to learn/practice what the “experts” or even well-meaning friends say, but simply to know MY child – to know what motivates and encourages her and use that to point her to Christ. Your precious little boy is unique, and certainly Jesus has uniquely gifted you to mother him. Christy,
